Los Angeles.I.AMO!!!

just back in NYC after a wonderful weekend in LA with my amazing friends from Milano/Paris/New York...
perfect weather (27C), perfect crew and i've discovered the perfect places to enjoy our little holiday!
I love my friends because they always Follow MU! Soooooo here i'd like to share with you a short list of some great spot i suggest you!
Mondrian Hotel on Sunset Boulevard, very nice (better than that one in NY that's a bit tacky) and inside there is Asia de Cuba (the best calamari salad) perfect for breakfast and lunch!...few block down there is also the Andaz Hotel with a nice little pool on the top and a good view of the town!
For a mellow dinner on Sunset Boulevard with a french touch i suggest you Pour Four.
If you go for shopping in Santa Monica (strongly suggested) and you'd like to have an "unfancy" but pure italian plate of pasta with a glass of Canayili Vermentino ;) try Valentino (the chef is an adorable guy from Sardinia)
For a brunch under the sun and great view Gladstones is perfetto (also in Santa Monica) and then you can follow to Malibu' (MaliMU eheheh) to enjoy a sunset on the sea at Moonshadows!
If you are chilling out in Melrose (my fav area) you can go for lunch at Fig&Olive (food not unique but the atmosphere is adorable and the light relaxing and fresh), then have a dinner at Il Piccolino, buonissima mozzarella in town or at my beloved Cecconi's (the same of London) and his "cicchetti" (a tipical aperitizer from Venice), it's a rare place where you can find the perfect italian food in a "people watching" spot!
Or if you are looking for "oysters with view" in a mellow place go to Cafe' del Rey in Marina del Rey (perfect from breakfast to dinner!)

Shopping time...honestly LA is not really "inspiring" for me, too many flagship store but as a tireless hunter i've found some little "treasure" also here in Rodeo Drive: Ronherman for silk dresses and tops, Jill Roberts for the best selection of european interesting brands (above all Issa dresses from London); Pom Pom for interiors and accessorize (suuuper shabbychic) and The Organic Pharmacy for natural skinceuticals and a raw smoothies :)
...see you there in June, now back in NY for a couple of week!
Love iu'
MU
